Day 1: Private Transfer San Jose Intl. Airport – Hotel Presidente

Arrive at the San Jose International Airport on a flight TBD. After clearing immigration and customs, exit the airport and meet your driver. Board the van for the 20 minute drive to San Jose and check into 1 Standard room with 2 double beds at the hotel. Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening enjoying this beautiful hotel.

Day 2: Private Transfer San Jose – La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano

Arrive at the San Jose International Airport on a flight TBD. Upon clearing immigration and customs, exit the airport and meet your driver who will be waiting for you. Start the 2 ½ hour drive to the Arenal Region. Enjoy the drive up the northern mountains of the Central Valley, then down towards the flatlands of San Carlos. Day 3: Sarapiqui White Water Rafting Class III

After an early breakfast you will be picked up in the hotel by the staff from the rafting company to embark on a full day white water rafting (class II - III) expedition down the Sarapiqui River. Relax during the picturesque 90 minute drive to the river, which is followed by a safety talk where you will receive the required gear. Enjoy the expedition down the rapids and take in the beautiful scenery. Experience the adrenaline rush of the class II - III rapids, and relax during the calm stretches of this amazing river. Upon trip conclusion, return to the hotel midafternoon. Included: bilingual, experienced guides, first class equipment, transportation, Costa Rican river lunch, changing facilities after river trip. What to bring: water clothes and secure water shoes, sun block, towel and change of clothes, water proof camera.

Day 4: Pure Trek Canyoning

After an early breakfast at 7:00 am, you will be picked up at the main lobby by the staff from the canyoning tour. Board the van for the 20 minute drive to the meeting point en route to the Canyoning spot. You will then transfer to a truck for another 15 minutes to the Canyoning site. Hike to the first platform and enter the canyon in the heart of the rainforest. The views are spectacular. Enjoy the 5 rappels, including a 150 ft drop. Three rappels are in waterfalls, two are on dry walls. Bring an extra set of clothes to change into after the tour, and do not forget your camera. The staff will provide you with waterproof dry bags to clip onto your gear. Lunch will be served after the adventure at the Operations Centre. After this thrilling adventure return to the resort. Includes: 5 Rappels (4 waterfalls and 1 rock wall) in a rainforest, hiking on beautiful trails in the canyon between rappels, transportation to and from your hotel (La Fortuna Area), bilingual professionaly trained guides and "Tipico" lunch. Day 5: Lake Crossing Arenal - Monteverde (Van,Boat,Van)

At a time TBD, our driver will pick you up for the adventurous journey to Monteverde. After a 15 minute transfer to the lake shores, you will embark on a 30 minute boat ride across Arenal Lake followed by a 2 hour drive up the picturesque mountains. This challenging road will take you from an altitude of 900 meters above sea level (approximately 2700 ft) to the Cloud Forest at 1440 meters (approximately 4662 feet). Marvel at the changes in vegetation and climate as you ascend to Monteverde. Check into 1 Superior room with 2 double beds at Trapp Family Lodge.

Day 6: Sky Tram & Sky Trek Tour

At a time TBD the Sky Adventure staff will pick you up to drive you to the Sky Trek Park. The tour starts with a 30 minute ride on the cableway, where you will have a different perspective of the flora and fauna. The Sky Tram ends on a wide observation platform, where you will begin the Sky Trek one of the top canopy tours in the country. Experience the thrill of zip lining through the canopy of the Cloud Forest, truly a great way to experience the rain forest and a real adrenaline rush! Upon conclusion, return to the hotel to spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Includes: entrance fee, guide and equipment. What to bring: Long pants or shorts, T-shirts, hiking shoes or sneakers and insect repellent.

Day 7: Private Transfer Monteverde - Manuel Antonio

Check out of the hotel and board your private van for the 4 hour transfer to Manuel Antonio. This picturesque, winding road brings you down from Monteverde to the Interamerican Road, driving parallel to the Pacific Ocean, past Puntarenas and Caldera. Continue along the Central Pacific through the towns of Jaco, Esterillos and Parrita en route to Quepos, a fishing town near Manuel Antonio. Arrive and check into 1 Standard room with 2 double beds at Hotel California. Take the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the hotel amenities.

Day 8: Manuel Antonio National Park Tour

You will be picked up in the lobby of the hotel for a visit to the renowned Manuel Antonio National Park. Enjoy this guided tour through one of the jewels of the Costa Rica National Park System. Spot three species of monkeys, sloth’s, iguanas, coatimundis, and a wide range of birds and reptiles. After the tour, stay in the park and relax on the pristine beaches or return to the hotel. If you think you may want to remain in the park until closing, we recommend coordinating a box lunch and bottled drinks with the hotel since there are no services inside the park. Also, remember to bring your bathing suit and a towel. Board the shuttle back to the hotel at 4 PM when the park closes. Otherwise, you can return to the hotel upon the tour’s conclusion. Includes: Transportation, bilingual guides and certified naturalists, entrance fee, snacks and refreshments after the tour right near the beach. What to bring: Easy walk or hike, depending upon your abilities and self-paced tour.
